Special Taffeta Cleaning Instruction
Simply wipe down with 1:10 medical-grade dilution disinfectant or very mild detergent only.

The water-resistant or waterproof barrier on hospital taffeta relies on a specialized polyurethane (PU) or PVC backing.

The use of incorrect cleaning solution will penetrate, softens, and dissolves this coating over time causes the protective waterproof laminate to peel away from the outer taffeta fabric layer.

Once the coating is chemically degraded, the fabric becomes porous. This allows urine, blood, and other bodily fluids to leak directly into the foam core, ruining the mattress.
